clarence road, teddington

when we visited the semi-detached property the first time looked at it from the garden with its existing modern rear infill and the extended loft, we wondered what our scope would be. then marcus showed us around the house, the dark kitchen, the leaking flat roof, the inefficient utility, no WC, not enough bathrooms for the 5 bedrooms upstairs and loft dormers far away from being designed. today, the house is bright and cosy, the front reception to the left flows into the dining behind which is located within the new infill extension replacement, a new single storey extension behind the outrigger of the host building houses the kitchen and breakfast bar, a new utility connects to the cooking area, with a new cloak and guest toilet opening up towards the hallway. upstairs, two en-suites and a family bathroom serve the main bedrooms, with a separate bathroom in the loft. we designed all joinery to each room of the house giving it a slick, modern, comfortable and cosy feel on each level. In short, a state-of-the-art family home in a victorian envelope.
