this existing house had been badly neglected and gave the new owner a blank canvas on which to create their dream victorian house with a contemporary interior. the internal spaces were rearranged and reconfigured with a modest extension added at the rear, resulting in a five bedroom, four bathroom family property.
a central corridor links the front of the house to a new kitchen and dining room at the rear, with a view from the front door directly towards the back garden. a transparent full height shelf unit separates the corridor from the living spaces. rooflights provide natural daylight to the previously dark spaces and corner sliding doors lead onto a covered outdoor seating area.
carefully selected floor and wall finishes bring together old and new, creating a harmonious family environment. the interior finishes were developed in cooperation with our client, who is an interior designer.Previous project Next project
