these clients came to us looking for inspiration in converting and extending their newly purchased house in hampton. they soon realised that the site had much more potential than just adding a single storey kitchen extension to their semi-detached building. by moving the staircase halfway into the former driveway on the side of their lounge, we created more space in all floor levels – additional wc next to the hallway and a utility area, a large bathroom at first floor level and continuous access to the loft. the new stairwell is now housed within an impressive glass tower, whilst a wrap-around timber clad single storey extension opens up the rear of the building towards the spacious garden. a contemporary dormer structure allows space for the master bedroom with a spacious en suite tucked away into the existing gable structure.
