this is the first of two townhouse projects we have recently completed in marlborough road. proposals refurbish and extend this victorian semi-detached five-bedroom property to include: the refurbishment of an existing traditionally designed side extension to incorporate a utility and second entrance at lower-ground level; introduction of a modern feature stair with open plan relationship from the entrance hallway to the lower floor; opening up the lower-ground floor and extending with a calm modern extension to create an open plan kitchen dining and living space, as well as a compact gym, with access to a newly landscaped rear garden terrace; addition of a new oriel window and refurbishment of the upper-ground formal front and rear reception rooms. The result is a light and airy house of stature, which blends traditional character features with modern interventions which contrast with and compliment the main house.
