stein’s restaurant, richmond

this small kiosk with a prime location close to richmond town centre has been completely transformed from derelict shack into a bustling riverside restaurant and beer garden.

the interior of the kiosk was completely upgraded with extensive kitchen facilities, turning it from a small cafe into an outdoor bavarian speciality restaurant. new toilet and staff facilities have been added to the rear under an extended standing seam zinc roof and the shell of the building has been clad in timber.

timber plant containers have been used to enclose the terrace area to the front with authentic beer garden tables, parasols and gas heaters completing a notable riverside eating space.
