following the approval of replacing an existing bungalow structure on the fringes of dummer with a 2-storey contemporary detached family home, we are currently preparing construction information and interior designs to bring this exciting project on site during the summer period.
we have recently completed a feasibility study to the develop an apartment scheme for 24 apartments to the rear of an existing former office building facing north street, leatherhead. the proposal will result in a contemporary extension to the existing brick facing structure with the intention to introduce a well balanced scheme to this site whilst its design language creates a link between the modern commercial structure to the west and the historical buildings lining bridge street to the south.
the complete refurbishment of this five bedroom country home surrounded by beautiful gardens. new interventions improve the flow and connectivity of internal spaces, and bronze, stone and glazed additions reorientate and open the property up to enjoy newly landscaped areas, including an outside pool and views to the surrey hills.
we are currently designing a sizeable recreational spa retreat to the rear garden of a large property in richmond, featuring a gym, a sauna and steam room, a toilet facility, a relaxation room and a separate office space at the rear. the summer room has windows to overlook the adjacent play area with a sunken trampoline. the u-shaped structure forms an internal roof protected courtyard with a sunken hot tub. large sliding doors open towards a full width terrace in front connecting to the 11m long open pool area. this garden pavilion will be constructed from a timber laminated prefabricated structure. solid walls are clad in dark vertical timber, contrasting with the lightness of fixed frameless glass and framed sliding doors and windows. a metal canopy and vertical timber fins provide shading and layering to the facades. the project will be implemented during summer 2021.
following successful planning application construction works on refurbishment and extension project in richmond have started. once finished, the rear reception room will open up as a gallery to the void of the tall double storey rear extension with a standalone sculptural staircase leading down to kitchen and dining. the new rear extension will fit well with the developments that have already been implemented at the neighbouring properties. the rear elevation of the extension will have elegant and sleek glazing system which will enhance the existing building and match the character of the conservation area.
