sheen common drive, richmond

an unconvincing 1970s extension to a 1930s building led these clients to commission us to design a more usable, modern family house.

the brief was to create a separate study, convert the former garage space into a separate lounge, introduce a pilates studio and form a new corridor connecting the hallway with living and dining. a full width glass slot connects the old house with the new extension and sliding doors integrate the attractive garden with the new interior spaces. the top floor received a facelift with a new roof covering and new external rendering to the facades, whilst the internal areas were refurbished.
