the radical transformation of a neglected victorian cottage into an architect’s new home. the creation of a new timber clad and white rendered extension, enclosed by glazed sliding folding doors, opens the ground floor to the timber decking and garden beyond. daylight floods the new dining area from a large rooflight above and a guest shower room has been incorporated into the new side entrance. a new feature wall runs along the length of the house, offering privacy from neighbouring houses.
upstairs, new storage units and a corridor separate the two bedrooms from a roof gallery and refurbished bathroom.
the new extension contrasts with the older victorian building and introduces innovative products, minimalist furniture, stylish fixtures and new modern living features.
the house has been featured in living etc, the BBC Good Homes Magazine, the property sections of the Saturday Telegraph and the Evening Standard, the books 100 dream homes and designs in white and the channel four television programme other peoples houses.Previous project Next project
