3s architects have been awarded two prestigious awards from the international property awards. awards include best architecture single residence south east england and best architecture single residence UK. the international property award is a world-renowned mark of excellence. winners are judged by a highly experienced team of professionals at their relevant national level. selected regional winners compete against projects from all over the world for which 3s architects also reached a prestigious global shortlist.

reinhard alexander weiss – director

reinhard weiss graduated from the polytechnical school for architecture in munich before completing a three year post-graduate diploma course in economics for the construction industry. he later completed his masters for architecture at greenwich. from 1990 he worked for several years at the leading architectural practices of schmidt-schicketanz & partner, where he soon became project architect for corporate clients as DBV – German Civil Service Insurance and AOK Health Insurance, for whom he designed and managed the set up of new dependencies in eastern germany. he joined the award-winning practice stephan raunfels architects in 1993 and worked on the ëMuseum of the 20th century in munich. he worked on the winning competition for the new german government building for MPs in berlin, before moving to the UK. with the well known london-based practice ORMS he worked on a variety of residential & commercial projects, before he became an associate with the leading city firm pringle brandon architects and was responsible for a range of commercial fit-outs and hotel buildings. In 2000, reinhard established 3s architects partnership before setting up 3s Architects. both his private residences white house I and II have been published in the UK’s leading architectural magazines, on television and in two best-selling design books.

paul stanley – associate director

paul studied architecture at the university of bath, the technical university in graz and the university of sheffield.  he joined 3s Architects in 2009, becoming associate in 2013 and associate director in 2016.  previously he worked at leading architectural practices ORMS, building design partnership and atkins.  paul has experience working in a range of sectors including residential, mixed use developments, schools, commercial fit-outs and retail.  These include new builds, invasive refurbishments and working with historic Grade I, II* and II Listed Buildings. whilst working at ORMS 2003-2009 key projects included: new music department and student accommodation buildings for maidwell hall preparatory school; major refurbishment and redevelopment of grade I listed crescent somerset place in bath; new facade and shell & core development of 499 oxford street flagship store for primark.  at 3s Architects paul has been responsible for numerous residential projects and commercial schemes.  he plays a pivotal role in managing the team and overseeing design within the office.
